Queen's College Bible Exhibition 1961
The College's collection of bibles and biblical literature formed the basis of three notable exhibitions, two at Halesowen in the 1940's, the third at Stourbridge, in the College premises, in 1961, in commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the publication of the Authorised Version, 1611, which coincided with the publication of the New Testament portion of the New English Bible; .
The Bishop of Worcester [regaled in his gaiters] was guest of honour at the College Bible Exhibition. The address and speeches, along with other honourable guests, took place in a Marquee set up on the top lawn. Following the Bible Exhibition Johnson Ball encouraged the pupils to purchase the New English Bible.
