1953 Johnson Ball [BSc.(Lond.)(1st Class Honours).,AMIMECH.E,FF.R.S.A.] [aged 52] establishes and runs Queen's College - an independent co-educational day school {3yrs - 18yrs} at The Mount, Red Hill, Stourbridge, Worcestershire.
1958 Johnson Ball [aged 57] relocates Queen's College to Prescot House, Chawn Hill, Pedmore, Stourbridge, Worcestershire [the former home of Ernest Stevens (1857-1957) Industrialist & Benefactor]
1959 Johnson Ball [aged 58] exhibits his art and local history collection in collaboration with Stourbridge Historical Society at the college [Thursday 23rd April]
1961 Johnson Ball [aged 60] exhibits his collection of bibles and biblical literature in the college - in commemoration of the 350th anniversary of the publication of the Authorised Version, 1611, which concluded with the publication of the New Testament portion of the New English Bible. The Bishop of Worcester [regaled in his gaiters] was guest of honour.
1962 Johnson Ball [aged 61] hosts, at the college, an exhibition of pictures by artists of the earlier English Water Colour School. The exhibition was opened by Alastair Smart, Esq., MA., Head of the Dept. of Fine Art at Nottingham University and chaired by Alderman W. P. Drew of Stourbridge.
1962 - 1965 Johnson Ball receives two Doctorates from Nottingham University [Phd.(Notts).
1965 Dr. Johnson Ball [aged 64] retires due to illness [Queen's College closes and Prescot House and grounds is sold to a housing developer]. Dr. Johnson Ball moves to Clifton House, Love Lane, Stourbridge.
1972 Dr. Johnson Ball [aged 71] marries long time partner Jennie Priest [second marriage], sells Clifton House and grounds to a housing developer [today known as Yarnborough Hill] and moves to 'The Grange', Clent.
1973 Dr. Johnson Ball [aged 72] First President of the Halesowen Local History Group publishes a biography of Caslon, "William Caslon Master of Letters" 1693-1766: the ancestry, life and connections od England's foremost Letter-Engraver and Type-Founder [published 1973 - now out of print]
1981 Dr Johnson Ball [aged 80] elected to ' The Archaeological Society'.
